dear all, I installed Android 7.x Nugat on my Fire HD10. Now i am able to See the raspCam Server and can control the ROV, yesss. The only missing Point is i cant See the Control Buttons, They are invesible.
I’m glad you were able to access the video feed by installing Android 7! From the research I did this weekend, that name error doesn’t typically show up on Android with the setup we use. Very odd that you can’t see the button controls though... that’s not something I’ve ever seen. Are you talking about the trackpads or the actual switch buttons for unlocking the camera and arming the motors?
Best!

Nice! Im Not able to Control tue ROV even the tilt cam. But during the Boot process the Camera is correctly moving into Standard Position. BTW. i run it on a Raspi 4b.
Thanks for the post! While the Fire tablets are based on Android, they are running a “forked” version of Android. That means that they run a lot of custom software in a customized operating system (Fire OS), which does end up being a different environment from Android 7. Some difference between the platforms is probably causing the error. In any case, I’ll take a look at this error code and see if I can write a patch that can handle this in Fire OS.
Would you be able to post a screenshot? It’ll help a lot to see where the error is showing up. Also, are you able to control the ROV from your fire tablet?
Thanks for the heads up!

Oh one more thing - were you able to see the controls on the previous operating system?
